Movie theatre courtesy

I know this is a bit off subject, but I have to tell my story of my experience yesterday at the movie theatre. Let me start off by saying that I did enjoy "Captain America", but did not enjoy the additional soundtrack that came along with it. What Happened? Glad you asked. It all started during the previews, which I like to get to the theatre early so I can see what is coming out in the upcoming months. There was a father (or lack there of) & his three kids ranging from 3 - 18 (guestimate). Well, the 3 year old was running around the theatre like a coked up drug addict screaming & running around the front of the theatre. I was like ok, maybe the father is just letting him expend his energy & when the movie starts he'll calm him down ( like any responsibe adult would do). Well guess again, the kid continued running & screaming! I got up to notify an employee of the situation & when he arrived guess what, he grabbed his kid & held him in his lap until the employee left & continued to let his kid run around & scream like a teenage girl at a Justin Bieber concert! I finally had enough (by the way, I was sitting right behind him), I asked him politely to control his kid as we as well as others did not pay to see & hear his kid sceram but to watch the movie. Crazy, right?! The father did not agree with my logic and asked me if I wanted to go outside, I said "not right now, I'm trying to watch the movie". I asked him if I thought it was fair to other people as well as myself to sit through a movie with his unruley child acting like that. I asked another movie theatre employee to help solidfy the situation & he said that they can't do anything unless they actuallty see the child in action. I was more that flustered that A, this asshole would not control his kid. B, that the theatre employees could not do anything & C, that I was the only one with balls to say anything!

The credits start to roll & my girlfriend & I are one of the last people in the theatre knowing that at the end of the movie there would be a preview of "The Avengers". The father is walking out with his kid & looks back at us trying to intimidate us, my girl friend says a few choice words & the idiot continues to talk shit. He asked us if we had kids & my girl friend said that if we did, we surley would not bring an infant to a movie. He got all pissey & walked away with his tail between his legs. On our way out I expressed my issues with the manager & he gave us each a pass for another movie. I told him that wasn't the point, they did nothing to control the situation. Needless to say, I was aggravated at their incompatence but accepted the free passes.

In conclusion, I really don't understand how someone can be so oblivious to others around & show no courtesy only thinking about themself. I did not let that ruin my day, but just chalked it up to a classless ass clown who doesn't have any common sense.
